The Office

Dear Readers,

This post is dedicated to my absolute favorite Television show, ‘The Office’ (THE AMERICAN KIND NOT THE BRITISH, LAMER, VERSION!!!!!!!).

The Office recently finished it’s fourth season (which was awesome).

These are the main characters of the Office:

Michael Gary Scott (Just Michael)- The head honcho, if you will, of the office branch. He tries to be funny but honestly is an idiot. Very politically incorrect.

Dwight Kurt Shrute III (Just Dwight)- Assistant to the Regional Manager, then Asistant Regional Manager, and finally just salesman. Hilariously stupid in normal things, and smart in odd things. Constantly being pranged by Jim. At first hates Jim, Then Andy and Jim, then just Andy, then Jim again. Total suck-up to Michael.

James Halpert (Just call him Jim) - Smart, kind, helpful, friendly, funny, impresses everyone he meets. Joker, but can be serious and professional if he wants to be. Disliked by Ryan and Dwight. Constantly pranks Dwight. Is now the Assistant Regional Manager. In love with Pam.

Pamela Beesly (Pam, if you will, but not Pammy)-Smart, sensitive, kind, friendly, artistic, taken advantage often. In love with Jim. Receptionist.

Ryan Bailey Howard- EVIL and in jail. Moo ha ha.

Janet Levinson (Just Jan)- was Michaels boss, then his girlfriend and boss, then his boss again, then his girlfriend and boss, then just his girlfriend, then his ex-girlfriend, now his girlfriend again. Smart, professional.

Holly- Human Resourses Representative.

Phyllis Vance- Saleswoman.

Stanley Hudson- Salesman.

Andrew Bernard- Salesman and regional director in charge of sales.

Pi Day Rules!!!

Aaron's Antics, Fun times, News, Random, lexicon and vocabulary, links — Aaron on March 14, 2008 at 8:13 pm

Dear Readers,

Today I, and people everywhere who like the beauty of mathematics, celebrate the official ‘pi day’. It is March 14th, every year. Why, you may ask; because March 14 is 3/14.

So in honor of every-one’s favorite irrational number, this post is henceforth dedicated in every respect to π (pi).

Firstly, I’ll explain what pi is, and how we use it. Pi is an irrational number, that is roughly equal to 22/7 (twenty-two sevenths). We use pi to calculate a large assortment of things. We use it to find the circumference of a circle. We do this by doing 2πr (said: Two pi r)This means we multiply the radius times 2 and pi. To find the area of a circle do: πr² (said: pi r squared).

Secondly, you should know the history of pi. The symbol was first used by William Jones, in the year of 1706.

Thirdly, without further ado I present to you the first 1100 digits of pi:

You may have read my other punny post. Now, this is a new one. It was triggered by this message:

“1. A woman lived in Paris, and she was told that her husband had died. She went crazy, and threw herself in the river. She was declared In Seine. 2. Why is an elephant big, grey, and rough? Because if he was small, white and smooth, he would be a asprin tablet. 3. Why did the seagull not want to fly over the bay? Because if it did, it would be a bay gull. (if you don’t get it, read it aloud.) 4. A woman lived in Egypt. She was informed her husband had died in the war, and she couldn’t believe it. Eventually she threw herself in the river. She was in denial. (again, try reading it out loud)
I will have more when I am able to check my email, as I got an email full of puns.”

Now it’s my turn!

1. A hated Greek architect was known to be such a jerk, that people called him a “Doric”.

2. Why did the calendar walk forward? Because it was March Fourth.

3. Why do knights read so much? They have many pages.

4. Why did the Egyptian hold his nose? Something Sphynx.

5.What did the singername his son? Mike.

Make like a drum and beat that!

Dear Readers,

Yes, I’m afraid we all knew it was coming. Time for me to make fun of spam. Here are just two examples of the weird comments we get from people who we don’t know (or funnier yet, companies we do know).

Here is one submitted by good old unaxmadon: ·

Once again. Wow.

The one question that is on America’s lips is “how the heck did they find us?” I mean, seriously. We are a great web-site, but it’s not as though America hangs on our every word. Now if we were in the writers strike still, eh, I guess more people would be interested. But this is still a new program. What the heck?

I’ve done some research. We are the 61st hit on the google search for “Rochambeau”. However we are the 1st hit for “fort Rochambau”. but who would search for that, unless they heard about us. Currently we are linked to only two websites.
1. Cooperative not collective. 2. Secret Door Projects.

I can’t figure out how they find us.

Aaron.

Blog Facts

Readers,

I take a break from my usual documentation of Art Stars, to make instead a blog entry on blogs :). This is some facts on blogs.

Firstly, the word “blog” actually comes from the words “web-log” (Not my first post, This is Our Web-log). Secondly, blogs can be used for many different purposes.

Um…, Er…, there isn’t as much to tell you as I thought.

Here are the links to some great fake blogs. They were both made for the superb show, “The Office” (The real, AMERICAN version, not the stupid British Office)

1. http://blog.nbc.com/CreedThoughts/

2. http://blog.nbc.com/DwightsBlog/

Check em’ out. Now for my features. Trivia: In the 1870’s what was ketchup served as? Pun: What do you call a movie about feelings? An emotion picture.

P.S. answer - Medicine.

Exquisite Corpse

Exquisite CorpseOriginally uploaded by Cooperative Not Collective

Up on our flickr{Cooperative Not Collective} page is a group of new Photos, well actually they are scans of a bunch of “Exquisite Corpse” drawings. What is “Exquisite Corpse?” Here is Aaron to explain:

Exquisite Corpse is a game where you divide the paper into three parts. The first person takes the top, and draws something. He or she leaves a few lines for the next person on the middle part. The next person draws from those lines in the middle part, without looking at the top. Then he leaves a few lines for the third peson who finishes it.

So here are some results!
