We use D.I.S. or Destruction of Irritating Silliness as our motto. On our great seal the Latin phrase, “Oohs Disuse” appears in golden letters.

We soon will launch an attack on many posts.

Moo ha ha and Goodbye,

Apparantly, I am DEAD!!!

Dear Readers,

Apparently in Flannery’s part of the movie, the Space movie, I am dead! This is an outrage!!!!!!!

Jay and the sixth Art Starz session

Dear Readers,

As you probably guessed from the title from this post, it is the sixth session of Art Starz.

We have a new teacher, Jay. That’s right, that unfortunately means that we do not have Andrew, but we have Jay and he’s really nice. I like him a lot.

This session we are almost decided on making another movie. The thing is that this movie will not be one theme like the other Art Starz movies that came before it. This one is different. This one will be called ‘Watchng TV’. It is on the theme of a couple guys sitting around, and watching TV. The beauty of it all is that each of us, gets to direct a miniature ‘TV Show’. I already know what mine will be. You may ask will you tell us what it will be. This is my response: NEVER!

All you need to know about it is this: It is a parody. There is traveling involved. It is similar to a show that is awesome. You probably can figure it out.

Talk to you soon.

Trivia: When you look through a telescope what are you doing?

Pun: How do you describe a odorous play on words?

Pungent!

Aaron

Dear Readers,

Today is a fun day. Andrew is back!!! We had a lot of fun recently. As you read from my previous post we are in the process of creating a movie. Today with Andrew we finished shooting. Here are the scenes.

SCENE 1: (stair 2) random staircase-Aaron- I run down a staircase, and say “Okay Sam, I’m going to go down, and you are going to go up.” I go down, and I walk through a hallway.

SCENE 2: (Adult library) ghostly library- Aaron, Andrew, people of library- I go through and see Andrew (my “brother”) lying on the ground with a fish head (really a mask), I “cry” over him and walk back.

SCENE 3: (Big room) spooky dining room- Aaron, Joseph, Sam, Flannery- I walk in, see Sam sitting with his chair, head down, and I wake him up. Then Flannery and Joe attack. We run.

SCENE 4: (Elevator, outside) elevator, outside of spooky house- Aaron, Sam, Andrew- Me and sam run to the elevator, ride to the lobby, Andrew scares us. We run outside.

This was super fun to make!!!

Pun: What type of key hates thanksgiving? The turKEY.

Dear Readers,

Yes, I am writing a normal post this time. Also, yes, I have news :) today.

Today, our teacher Andrew was not here today. However, we had a substitute teacher (egads!) His name was Jay. He was cool.

First, we looked over some books he had brought in and taked a little about Japanese art (Joseph was having the time of his life).

Then, we started to work on the task at hand, making a (drumroll please) MOVIE! Yes! In the entire history of Art Starz, this is the second movie we have made together (the first was “The Secret of Williams Well”). We talked about what type of movie we wanted to make, and we decided on a “haunted house” movie. (Sidenote: The other choices were an army training camp movie, and an alien movie.)

The first thing we did for it was start to create a creepy enviroment and or set in a corner of the big room downstairs. I’m telling you- it looked awesome! Sam said “It’s as if tables and carboard took over that corner.” (Note: I might be paraphrasing) In 30 minutes we made that thing so cool!

Secondly, Tom (an awesome librarian, like all of the librarians at the Rochambeau branch) did an acting exersize with us. We played a game of slow motion tag, and if you are tagged, you have to explode in slow motion too. It was really fun. Then we did a freezing game.

Thirdly we ACTually started to act. :)

(SPOILER ALERT– ONLY READ IF YOU HAVE THE INTENTION OF RUINING THE MOVIE FOR YOURSELVES!)

Here is a synopsis of each scene:

SCENE 1: outside of library (outside of haunted house) — Sam, Aaron, Joseph — Sam and Aaron are randomly walking home, when this creepy old man in a green cape comes up to them. They aren’t frightened when he tells them about this haunted house. He dares them to spend the night in it. They agree.

SCENE 2: big room (haunted house’s basement) — Sam, Aaron, Jay — Sam and Aaron walk in to the basement, they are scared when they see a creepy person, when only has one arm.

SCENE 3: big room, set (decrepid area of basement) — Sam, Aaron, Joseph — Sam and Aaron walk into a decrepid corner of the basement, when they hear tapping. They inspect it, and the creepy old man appears.

SCENE 4: big room (random hallway) — Sam, Aaron — Sam and Aaron basically run into eachother, 3 times.

SCENE 5: hall to librarians section of basement (haunted hallway) — “Sam”*– Walking up a haunted hallway. Scary.

SCENE 6: stair 3 in back of library (scary stairway) — Tom (the awesome librarian), Aaron, Sam — Sam and Aaron walk up a staircase, where at the end the see some kind of monster. (Sidenote: None of us had ever been i that staricase before. It was so much fun! :) )

*It was filming from “Sam’s point of view”.

Anyways it was super fun!

Jay, I dedicate this post to you. Now for my features:

Trivia: What element is “W” in the periodic table?

Pun: What do you call a chicken’s ghost that is mischevious? A poultry-giest (Seemed apropriate for this kind of movie)

Aaron.

Post Script: Answer- Tungston.

my perspective on The eye of the pyramid (fort)

Fun times, Lessons learned mistakes made, Perfect projects, forts — Sam on February 13, 2008 at 5:18 pm

This is my perspective:
I think that the fort came out really good. The only thing bad  was that there was basicly no room inside. The outside was magnificent, a giant pyramid with two trianglular windows at the top. It reminds me of something I made at my house, which was a strange shape indeed. It looked like a car covered with a blanket sitting in the middle of the living room. Inside it was pitch black, and really cool. Some of the things you could do were play PS2 and watch movies. The only picture I have of it is in its current state ruin all the blankets are gone and the front chair has tilted forward. (So sad…)

Perfect projects — Aaron on February 13, 2008 at 5:06 pm

Readers,

Today is still unfolding, and literally, I am typing this at class. Although we haven’t finished our day today, I will describe the day. Today is one of the rainiest days
I’ve seen in a very long time. I am pleased to say, that while it is rainy outside, inside our wonderful library, it is luke-warm and quite the opposite of rainy.

Inside we started off with a display of shinnaniginary :) . Sam brought in a surgical glove, and tried to give me an “Air-blast”, and I hid for 5 minutes in a doorway.

Although this is humorous, it is irrelevant, and frankly an attempt to use up space. In important news, we began the real class through a time of free-draw. Flannery has created a piece of art which she titles, “A thingy, thingy”. This features intertwining stars, drawn in pencil. I drew a picture of the “Solar system” In which all of the planets are in separate orbits, but together. Thus symbolizing the supreme importance of independence, and individualism. Also, though, they are together in dancing around the sun, symbolizing that they are together in life, and they should treat each other with love and respect.

We obviously worked on the blog, as you are reading this today.

Unfortunately,  I have no more to say. Therefore, I move onto my features.

Trivia: what is a sack-but?

Pun: Why was the man angry at the clown? It made an obscene jester.

Aaron's Antics, News, Perfect projects — Aaron on February 11, 2008 at 6:31 pm

Hello Readers,Today was a wonderful class. We, firstly had free draw as a warm-up. I drew a picture in 3 major parts. One, a horrible pattern (I didn’t have enough time to finish it). Two, a signature “net”. And, finally, an elaborate pattern. Another person (who shall remain nameless, but if that person wishes, may reveal his or her name) drew two versions of “Robo Chicken”, and yet another drew a “Driftwood City”. After this, we ‘talked architecture’, for a couple of minutes. Then came the fun part. We split up into two groups, and each group was alotted a set amount of materials. Each group had to come iup with a design, and build, a fort. Unfortunately, I only know what my group did, so I will tell you that. My group built “Egypt”.Inside the Eye of the PyramidTwo long tables and one short table made the “True chamber”, as I’ve taken the liberty of calling it. Then using a series of chairs and carboard peice we built a tunnel, to provide extra space. to cover any gaps, we draped over the back, and fastened with chairs, a large white sheet. After this, we spruced up the place by making the gaps, which we named windows, at the top symetrical. Over all the only real problem with Egypt was space. I offer my special thanks for this project to Sam who did a fabulous job of photographing all of the pictures you see here today, and Winifred, who did a phenominal job of being scribe extraordinare. And of course, Andrew.PUN: Why was the man angry at the clown?
